Have you ever wondered how many coasters you have ridden? How about what was the tallest or fastest coaster you've experienced? Maybe you already know this and keep your coaster log in a spreadsheet or some other kind of document.

Well I had the same questions and didn't have an easy way to store all this information. Hence, the web site was born! Coaster Counter is a free and easy way to log, organize and rank all of your roller coaster experiences. You can also see some fun stats about them such as your Top 10 Fastest Coasters or Top 10 Biggest Drops.

This is a free, non-profit web site that was created with fun in mind. So just register and start counting your coasters!

The idea first came about during a late season trip to Six Flags Great Adventure in October of 2002. Some of my friends and I were park hopping every chance we could during the summer. As we were waiting in line to get on Nitro someone said, "This is just another notch in my belt". This comment got me thinking about ways of counting and organizing all the coasters that I have ridden. Since I am a professional software engineer and all around geek the most logical way was to build a database with all this information. Since I was building a database I might as well put a web interface on it! With all this work I decided it would be fun to share with other coaster enthusiasts like myself.
